I have been looking at the Pyrenea on my map and think I might want to go there to run the creeks. I only one question

Has any one been there? How is it? When is the best time for creek boating? Where to go? Do I need to bring my kayak or can I buy one over there? How is it logistics wise? Is it best to buy a car? Where to sleep? What to eat? Is it OK to drink the water? Doos ane won speek Ernglish? How are the rivers? If I miss an eddy will I roll down the whole mountain? Can I get back up?

I think that it should be very handy to speak a little bit of French or Spanisch (depents of you go to the French or the Spanish site) most of the people right there speak worser English than i do.
I've never kayaked there so for accomodation, i dont know. But let me know something.

Consult the book: whitewater pyrinees, a lot of information.

Buy a car? Very expensive. A used car in good condition 3000-6000 eur.
No problems with the water. Spain and France are not in the African continent. :think:
A lot of hotels, restaurants.
You can buy all kayaks that you can with your money. All the marks: WS. dagger, pyranha, robson, necky, :)


Mejor hablar un poco de español o francés. Quedas mejor. Tio que no te vas a Uganda.

It is not a problem. In general everybody of the kayak's world knows some words in English. :sleep:

The best rivers in Spain are: Gàllego, Ara, Esera and Noguera Pallaresa.For creek: Cinqueta and high parts of Noguera, Ara and Esera. And some affluents.

Ask in the raft companies. Very friendly with the kayakers. UR 2000, Rocroi, Eseraventura, Aguas Blancas etc...........
