Hello All,

Hows it going. Nice to meet you all.

Right just looking for a bit of advice. I have not been kayaking for a long time, well about 6ish year.

So I am looking for a new Kayak and things have changed since I was last on the water. What is the best general purpose kayak out there at the moment.

I have been look at a few of boats

Pyrahna Ammo
Liquidlogic Lil` Joe
Dagger GTX


Which ones would you recommend.

How much playboating? A boat like the Jackson Hero should work if you just want to surf, but beyond that, I would look into a river running playboat like the Jackson Fun, WS Fuse, etc.

Your a very bad person cjcc. How do you know I have secret fetish for Wavesport Boats.

Since I had a play in my mates Forplay years ago. Wavesport make some awesome boats.

If you like WS boats, I would look more at the Diesel, because it's going to be easier to paddle, but you can still surf and spin well, and can creek in it. The only problem with a river-running playboat is that you will eventually want to creek more or play more. I have a Solo S and Project 52 because of this (and because I basically got a pro-deal on the 52 :) )
