I have a Lendal with the carbon shaft and Kinetics blades as my spare. With the price tag it comes with the only reason I bought it was it is the only 4 piece break down with bent shaft and adjustable feather for others in our crew. I think you could find a much better paddle for that kind of money. I would try one out before I bought one. The AT ATX is my everyday ride.

I have a Werner Sidekick Bent shaft and an AT4 play, i don't know how is the Lendal, but before buying, try this two also.

Spacialy the Werner, i like the AT, but i prefer Werner.

I have the older Kinetik Power and the carbon Kevlar weave shaft that is bullet proof! I would check with Appomatox River company and see if they still have some of the old stuff. Remember Lendal carries a lifetime warranty (for now), Other companies don't, also if you break a blade you can replace it unlike most others as well. Or you can even carry a spare blade set and not have to worry about being up the creek with out a......
