      Hello everybody...

I have a question to the the whitewater community.

I've been searching and waiting for the right moment to buy my new paddle.

And now i think that finaly i've found what i want but i'm divided between fiber and carbon.

The choices are Fiberglass Werners Powerhouse, and Carbon Sidekick. Sidekick is on a very good price, but it has a playboters design with a big blade and that would be good for me, however i'm a creeker and they recomend another kind of paddle, like Powerhouse, or Shogun. So it is clear that a creeker paddle is the right choice.

      Carbon, good price but playboater...

      Sidekick, creeker but fiber...

      Carbon playboater or Fiber creeker?????

      Thanks everbody...

From what I've seen/heard around my area (southeast US) the carbon ones feel a lot better, but the blades break really easy since there is no flex in them. The fiberglass ones will wear down fast, but if you put edging on it, it should be fine. I would definitely take the fiberglass.

Hi.. I had the same decision to make not so long ago.... have a look at the excellent range at MItchell Blades, have the paddle made to YOUR spec.. or Orphion, great looking...

Eventually, I went for the Mitchell, and really pleased I did, great value for money and it was exactly what I wanted... and at the same prize as the paddles your already looking at...

      Good luck!
