Team Dagger athlete Pat Keller took first place overall and third place in the short boat competition at the 18th annual Green River Narrows Race last weekend. This year’s first place finish marks Keller’s third time winning the Green Race since 2006. His time of 4:14 was six seconds faster than the second place time.

Confluence Watersports brands are once again supporting American Whitewater at the 30th annual Gauley Fest in Summersville, W.V., September 20-21, 2013. These brands will work to raise money and awareness for the organization by raffling off kayaks and paddling gear and hosting events throughout the weekend. Started in 1983, Gauley Fest is the biggest annual fundraising event for American Whitewater and the largest river festival in the world.

Whitewater Parks International (WPI), designated as an approved technical consultant by the International Canoe Federation and the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for Rio 2016, has been selected to provide professional services for the planning, design, and development of the Canoe Slalom venue intended for the Deodoro Sports Complex – one of several multi-sport clusters being prepared for Olympic events in 2016.
