This picture is wrong. The waves brake next to the channel feeding brisbane waters. As for the google world map pretty much shows the correct spot.
Watch out for jet ski's, boats, ferries, and lots of sharks. There are many different species of shark out here, the most common one you'd have to watch for are a few large Tiger sharks that are often spotted. If this doesn't bother you and you hit this spot when the swell is right, then you'll be in for the day of your life with one of the longest left handers in the country.
