Designed and built by founder and owner Mike Cichanowski, the 17 Wenonah pays heritage to the very first canoe Mike C. built in 1965 in his parents backyard shed. The original fiberglass and wood-strip “Wenonah Canoe” is now on display at the Winona County Historical Museum in Winona, MN as a proud piece of our local communities history. New for 2011 we introduced the 17 Wenonah, this historic design in our contemporary composite layups. Displaying lines similar to the classic wooden hulls built in the early 1900’s, this design is a great general use, canoe camping, or family boat with a unique look and storied past.

As a way to say THANKS to all our supporters Wenonah Canoe is excited to announce we will be giving away serial #001 Kevlar-Ultra-light 17 Wenonah to one of our lucky facebook followers! The first official boat produced from the new mold, signed and dated by Mike Cichanowski.

Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of open boat history! “Like” Wenonah Canoe on facebook today for your chance to win!!!!

Random drawing will be held May 1, 2011.
