It appeared that the most successful C-1 of the 2007 season could not be improved upon, but Tony Estanguet (the perfectionist with vision) worked for a solid 8 months with Galasport on the ultimate boat. During this long experimental process, we created four different prototypes and Tony tested them on several slalom courses around the world.

Tony declared the development of the new boat as final after winning at the Australian Open 2008 (Canoe World Series 2008).

The result was a very esthetically pleasing, dynamic, maneuverable boat with several new design features. This boat will surely be earning the highest podium spot at the upcoming Olympics.

This proves that Tony is not only a phenominal slalom racer but designer as well. Tony's brother Patrice (multiple World Cup and Olympic medallist), also cooperated on this project.

CARBOLIGHT

Our highest quality racing boat. This Lay-Up is intended for the most demanding slalom racers addressing not only the improved construction but also the looks.

A combination of 3 types of foam sandwich, MGS epoxy system and superior vacuum bag technology, Carbon surface and Carbon & Carbon/Aramid combination inside the boat. Although seamless on the outside [except for the bow and stern tips for extra protection], double seams on the inside.

With this new improved construction, we bring to the market a very strong boat with good resistance to damage.
