Confluence Outdoor brands Dagger, Wave Sport, Adventure Technology and Bomber Gear are once again supporting American Whitewater at the 31st annual Gauley Fest in Summersville, W.V., September 19-20, 2014. All four brands will help raise money and awareness for the organization by raffling off kayaks and paddling gear throughout the weekend. Gauley Fest started in 1983 and has grown to be the largest river festival in the world and the biggest annual fundraising event for American Whitewater.

“Gauley Fest celebrates whitewater, rivers, and community, so it’s a perfect blend of everything that Confluence values,” said Jessica Prescott, marketing manager at Confluence Outdoor. “Not only is it a great opportunity to get the whitewater community together to celebrate a river we all love, but it also benefits American Whitewater, an organization that makes a huge impact in the larger river community and helps protect waterways in all parts of the country. We are looking forward to another great weekend event and are excited to show our support American Whitewater again this year.”

American Whitewater’s mission is to conserve and restore America’s whitewater resources and Confluence’s brands have been longtime supporters of its programs. Dagger, Wave Sport, Adventure Technology, and Bomber Gear will be at the festival to celebrate more than three decades of protection and releases on the Gauley River with the whitewater community.

Wave Sport, Dagger, Bomber Gear, and Adventure Technology will be hosting booths at Gauley Fest where each brand will be raffling off prizes. Wave Sport will be raffling off a new Mobius 56 freestyle kayak. Dagger will be donating a Mamba 8.1 creek boat to the silent auction and raffling off the new fiery Octane color Green Boat, a kayak designed for steep creek racing and inspired by the Green River Narrows in North Carolina. One lucky winner will take home an Adventure Technology Elite Series Eddy paddle and a Girls at Play swag package. Bomber Gear is raffling off a Hydrobomb Dry Top and donating a Bombshelter Sprayskirt to the silent auction. Raffle tickets are $3 each, 2 for $5 or 8 for $20 (receive a t-shirt with the purchase of 8 raffle tickets) and will be sold in each brand’s booth. As in past years, all proceeds from the weekend benefit the whitewater preservation work of American Whitewater. Ticket holders must be present and able to take home their prizes the night of Saturday, September 20 to win.

Team Dagger and Team Wave Sport athletes will be out on the water and engaging with the river community throughout the weekend. Stop by the Dagger and Wave Sport booths to meet the athletes, play some games, and relax with a cold beer.
