Jacob Fork Park, in Newton NC, has come a long way as far as mountain biking. Currently, it has only one singletrack trail loop system called the Woodlands Trail Loop. However, the potential to create a mountain bike mecca is certainly there.
Riders will find lots of cool opportunities to bunny hop through the woods. Also, the trail is littered with super fun whoop-de-doos. These come in a series so make sure to keep your eyes forward and roost it up to maintain momentum.
The trail is constantly maintained by avid bikers. There is ample parking and beautiful scenery. Newton PD and Newton Parks and Recreation regularly patrol the parking lot, so visitors should feel safe. The restroom facilities are SUPER clean.
