Here's a quick introduction to the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site in South Africa. It is an area of great natural beauty, well worth a visit especially if you love mountains, rivers and open skies. This is the world's oldest and largest visible meteorite impact site, caused by an asteroid some 2 billion years ago. An impact like that today would wipe us all out. What it's left us, though, is a natural paradise - a place to enjoy peace, outdoor adventure, and the fascination of catastrophe! Come and do the tour by foot, by car, on a bike or in a boat. I'm a popular science writer and would be happy to show you around. - Graeme 084 245 2490 [email protected]
