The organisation is a subsidiary of The Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth, Devon, UK which is the largest donkey sanctuary in the world. Our aims and objectives: Donkey Sanctuary (Cyprus) provides care and/or a permanent home for donkeys and mules on Cyprus in need of help through ill health, maltreatment, poor circumstances, ill-usage or other similar situations. To achieve these aims and objectives: -Provision of Donkey Care; to provide every rescued donkey or mule within the Sanctuary, expert and individual care. -Donkey Welfare Support; provide advice and support to owners and follow up complaints; work with local authorities to improve standards of donkey care. -Outreach Programme; visit villages where there are working donkeys and provide health checks and treatments, give advice and support to owners.
