Floods are being reported all over South Africa, and Upington is the next to be hit as the Augrabies Falls crashes with 3 million litres pouring over per second.
Floods have affected several provinces and municipalities in South Africa and have killed at least 38 people in just over a month.
People have been encouraged to listen to the local media for warnings about flooding, but flash floods can happen extremely quickly, and many people might be unprepared.
Six people have drowned in the Northern Cape, while residents and authorities in the Lower Gariep/Orange River regions are expecting the worst as Augrabies Falls is expected to spew about 5.3 million litres of water per second by Friday night or Saturday morning.
The water is expected to reach the Upington area on Friday, and is the result of the opening of 10 flood gates at Bloemhof Dam last week.
The images below show the Augrabies Falls with only 3 million litres of water a second crashing down the waterfall.
