The last fatal attack at Port St Johns was last year January too. I was there in early December 2008 with a mate as the Umzimvubu River (SA's 3rd largest river) finishes at this town and the sea is pretty brown and murky there! Great river though :woohoo:

Poor dude! :dry: Gives me the shivers. I had an awesome surf kayaking session on Saturday with some mates at a very sharky spot - Platboom. True to form a 1.5m shark cruised underneath me as I was dropping into a wave within 10 minutes of being there... I guess they're always there, the water was just so clear that day. We carried on anyway even though many people have been killed in Cape Town waters. Still, the chances are so slim of being taken, I think. :side:
