interesting idea. 2 small minus sides I see:

*looks pretty vulnerable if you hit something.
*you always need to bring some spare caps, as you can't tie them down to anything...

but yeah, looks like an interesting low budget solution:)

Is a pet bottle lid the same size as a standard water bottle lid?

I think on my old Sub-7, there was not a cord to tie down the drain plug either.
