Every paddle stroke feels effortless to propel the boat forward due to its ultralight weight. This transfers into moves while surfing a wave, hole, or running a rapid. Hand crafted, layer by layer to achieve rigidity and durability in exactly the right places, the end result is a very light and stiff boat with exceptional performance and impact resistance.
If you're happy, you're successful.

I heard that they are gonna throw in some fiberglass materials for a production model. That way it'd be more affordable. I think that Wavesport and confluence are trying to see if this boat would survive as a production model before they really put it out.

Drakkar has been making composite playboats for a while, and if you look hard enough, you can find a prototype boat from a brand name company for sale, such as this. PeakUK's UK site has a few carbon Riots available, like the Disco, but they are fairly outdated at this point.

I really want one of those, but I know my ability could not justify it. I'd also be pretty terrified about pranging it, and when one has the best one can never bitch about ones gear (the favorite pastime of most paddlers i know) Though I supose if I start saving now I may have enough money to buy something like that once they've got a bit cheaper and when all the inevitable problems have been smoothed out.

Hi guys,
Guigui-prod (a french brand) has the same construction and is chieapier.
Of course the design is different but it works really well! I paddle their boats for some years and i'm more than satisfied

Cheers

This wouldnt be the "Future" persay, this is how whitewater started out in Fiberglass boats. Though if a company could find a way to make them as cheap as plastic I would love it. But Plastic will mostly likey rain supreme because of its lasting qualitys.

These are a complete rip off! I paddle composite surf kayaks and the manufacture Mega Surfkayaks, has built composite playboats for £500 cheaper than a new plastic one. Wavesport are over charging, they could make theses for a quarter of the price. Rip off.
