Hello, I am looking for my first (beginner) whitewater kayak and I am not sure which one to get. I would like to get a playboat since it is small and manoeuvrable, I will mainly be running it in class 1 to 3 rapids and doing some small drops on waterfalls (3-6 ft). I will also be doing Some flat water paddling as well as very occasionally in the sea. I might get into play boating in holes and on waves in the future. My price range is from 300-400 dollars for a used one.

Weight: 88 lbs
Height: 5 foot

Not sure about inseam but my foot size is 5

I would go to your local shop and check out some of their small playboats. Most manufacturers offer boats in around 3 different sizes - small, medium and large. Ask many questions, and if in doubt ask on the forums too.

Also find out about warranty offered by a manufacturer. And after sales service.

Maybe post a link or so of specific boats you may be interested in :)
