Hey everyone,
I've emailed Fluid now a couple times and haven't heard back from them which is a little bit disappointing. But it's nothing a forum can't help me out with so here it goes.

I bought a used Fluid detox a week ago and there is no front pillar in the boat. Initially i thought it was foam like the rear pillar but after looking at some of the user manuals, it might appear to be a plastic pillar which is connected to the rest of the boats outfitting.

Without this pillar, am I putting the boat at a large risk of damage? I primarily want to use this boat to bring friends with me to the river and show them some basics, so boofing and rough use isn't really a big possibility. I do, however, want to use this boat for personal use and it will eventually get put to a larger test.

I've asked the company about it and haven't heard back from them and it has been over a week now. If anyone has any suggestions/comments i'd love to hear from you.

Thanks
Dye22

p.s.- i can post pictures if needed.

Your boat definitely needs a front pillar! If you bought it from a shop (and I doubt you did because even if it slipped through quality control they would have picked it up), take it back. Otherwise if you bought it second hand you were shafted... You can of course buy the foam, shape it yourself and shove it in. And yes, your boat will flex more and the chances of your deck imploding is very much increased. The pillar in the Detox is foam according to the one I have. I would imagine even the new outfitting also has a foam front pillar.

Hi,
I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to this, I had it sorted out. The company contacted me and I believe everything is sorted out. It is a used boat I got from my work for an extremely low price. It is indeed a foam piece and that is what I plan on doing.
Thanks for your concern!
