Urge Offline Guru Boarder Posts: 760	To start with why not try a mega maverick or x ray in plastic theyre cheap and a good place to begin without the expense of composite but not quite as nice to surf and heavier

oz Offline Junior Boarder Posts: 11	both the maverick and plastic xray are good but, i would recomend a maverick for a newbie to surf kayaking. The maverick is a bit wider at the back and therefore more stable, the xray is a more high spec machine. The riot boogie may be worth a try although i wouldn't buy new. If your buying a new kayak the maverick is the best option. Hope this helps. Oz
