RANDY PHILLIPS

Randy Phillips, a local and a kayak designer has been organizing the event he calls the Jalama Expression Session for 11 years. Phillip also created the first surfkayak with fins – the UFO (unidentified floating object) that won the 1997 World Surf Kayak Championships in Thurso, Scotland. After that model, he designed several more for MEGA surfkayaks. Randy loves to combine surf kayaking with travel which has taken him to Indonesia, Panama and Fiji, among other destines.
