I recently moved to the shore of Lake Erie from the mountains of North Carolina. I am an experienced whitewater boater, but have never sea kayaked. I am considering purchasing a Wilderness Systems Tsunami 140. I want to be able to roll and play in rough water, will this boat be a good fit or do I need something more aggressive/responsive (and if so any suggestions)? Thanks for your help and suggestions

If you want to paddle across the lake, the Tsunami looks great. You will probably want to consider getting the pro version of the 140 or getting the 145 so you can get a rudder. The boat you choose largely depends on the time you will have and what you want to do. if you want to surf, get a boat like a Fluid Element or a Riot Booster.
