I know that I am not a lady but my wife is and she likes how the Astral PFD fits and hates how the wegd-e fits. She is waiting for a mens version to come in because when she tried one on for demo she thinks it may have fit her a little better. She is the sales manager at Western Canoe Kayak in Abbotsford. Give her a call if you want to ask her questions. Cynthia 604 853 9320

PS if I am not supposed to post here let me know and I will stop. Just thought I had some input on this, through my wifes opinion who hates the web.

Thanks so much! I will give her a call.
And of course you're welcome to post here.... esp. if you have useful responses like this one :-)

Like others pointed out, this forum should be a beneficial addition, not a separation.

Cheers!

I just bought one last summer and LOVE IT! It is the most comfortable lifejacket on the market. The boobie cups make it fit really well and the low profile design provide a ton of mobility. My friends make fun of me because it is so comfy that sometimes I just leave it on long after being on the river.

I work at a shop and we just brought the Astral line in this fall. I have to say that I have owned/worn a lot of rescue vests, and nothing compares to the Astral's. They are so comfy. The Gaia foam they use just flexes and shapes so well. I have found that if you are like me and barely register on the scale of A - anything, then you may find that the Wonderpro is a bit too shapely as it is designed for B-DD cups and does have quite a bit of shape through the front. If that is the case no worries, the Aquavest 300 is the men's version and is worth trying. It was designed for the flat chested half of humanity and well let's face it some of us girls fit into that portion of the world too. The XS-M size will fit probably 90% of the whitewater world well as it is meant to fit a 33\"-42\" chest size or something like that. Overall I think the Wonderpro is a great jacket. Astral has put a lot of thought into designing a comfortable jacket for women, and I think they have hit the mark.

I got one for Christmas and I'm really liking it. I find that because it's shaped, I can tighten it up much more than my old buoyancy, so it keeps me warmer too! And the fleecy hand pocket is just genius. :D
