My wife thinks I'm insane but I think it's feasible to paddle and sail (pacific action sale) from Newhaven, Sussex or Dover, Kent to the nearest bit of France. I want to travel on from there cross country as far as I can get in 2-3yrs. Ideally would like to finish up in New Zealand. Anyone else think I'm nuts?

i don't think, i know for sure you are nuts

but, if you weren't nuts, you would stay in you couch, watch tv, drink beer, ...

GB-Europ mainland is possible, furtheron, should be possible to. Untill you are past europe, then it wil get difficult because you go on the ocean and, well, less 'civilisation' in terms of rescue, medical care, ...

there is one thing you should do: prepare well, not only physical and material, but also mental
