River Soca, Soca Hole

Playspot: Slovenia, Kobarid area, River Soca, Soca Hole

What's it like

The Soca Hole near Kobarid. You have to carry your boat down in the valley for more than ten minutes, but it's worth the effort. You can take a wonderful whitewater run (WW III-IV) and just in the middle of it, right after a rapid, there is the Soca Hole. Paddling the whole run would normally mean a 1.5 hour trip. The more water, the more the hole turns into a wave, but it's always fun.

A plus is the big eddy below the hole. Less cool iis the small rock you'll kiss after a washout on the left side.
