Waterfall: Corsica (France), River Travo, Travo Falls

What's it like

Three falls of 5, 7, and 3.5 meters respectively. From the right side of the river you can take a look at the first fall. It is not possible to get a view of the middle fall before you start running them, but you may see something from the left side of the pool just below the first fall. The falls are not very dangerous, but make sure there are no trees or other obstructions.

With increasing water levels the risk increases of being hold back by the first two falls. The first fall on the right; the second on the left. For the third fall, take a good look, because the line changes according to water levels.

The Travo-River is about WW5+. The temperature varies, the best time being in spring between April-June, during the snow melt.

How to get there

More info

The river is only open on Mondays and Fridays for watersports. Be sure not to leave any expensive belongings in your car on those days!

Locals

You will not find many people since the river is difficult to access from the road, and has to be entered under a bridge.
