| Return to the Pier Race | |||||
Where: USA, CA, Pacific, Santa Barbara Come join us Saturday, January 19th for the Return to Pier Race located in beautiful Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara Outrigger is hosting the Return to the Pier Race - The race will begin and end in the harbor near SBOCC’s practice site located next to the Sea Landing in the harbor. Registration begins at 8:00am Short Course – 9:00am Long Course – 10:45am (or approximately 15 minutes after the short course ends). Short course will be from the end of Stearns Wharf to the mile buoy than slightly past the k bouy and back – approximately 4.5 miles of open ocean. This course is open to OC1’s, OC2’s, surfskis, double surfskis, paddleboards and stand up paddleboards. The long course will be from the end of Stearns Wharf to the mile buoy than up the coast past Hendry’s and back approximately 9 miles. This course is open to OC1’s, OC2’s, surfskis and double surfskis , paddleboards and stand up paddleboards. These are open ocean races – be prepared and know your skill level. Life jackets are required for all craft except paddleboards and stand up paddleboards.
