| 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration Paddle | By KayakMorris.com | |||
Where: US, IL, William G. Stratton State Park, Morris Let's celebrate what we live and breathe on, Planet Earth! We will meet in Morris, IL in William G Stratton Park (41.3555, -88.419986) and launch into the Illinois River travel downstream tour Sugar Island claim a geocache or two then make a small portage(25 yards) to the I & M Canal and paddle back to town. It's about 7 miles and will take 3-4 hours depending on how awestruck we get by our great Earth along the way! Bring your own equipment or you can rent a single kayak 39$ or Tandem(double)Kayak or Canoe$49 plus keep the boat for the rest of the day after our trip(limited rentals available so reserve yours today). There will be FREE beach camping the night before for anyone that is traveling from out of town. Please email us to checkin if you want to also camp ♦ |
