Where: US, NV, Truckee River Whitewater Park, Reno The Reno River Festival makes a move in 2012 to a new date, June 15 – 17. Aiming for consistently warmer weather, the 9th annual event includes the Festival’s popular freestyle, boatercross, and slalom kayaking competitions, the Run Amuck fun run, and introduces two new events: a Splash Dog Competition and the Biggest Little Dog Jog. With nearly 40,000 expected to attend the three-day event at downtown Reno’s Truckee River Whitewater Park, the 9th annual Reno River Festival offers up $12,000 in prize money for top finishers in the SUP, freestyle, slalom and boatercross kayaking competitions as well as prizes to the top finishers in the Run Amuck and its accompanying costume contest.
