All equipment provided by Event Host is distributed on “1st come, 1st serve” basis. Equipment MUST be requested in advance by email to ISA (surf@isasurf.org), and confirmed in writing by the ISA.

Paddles are NOT included with equipment provided by Event Host.

Equipment is the responsibility of the teams and must be officially checked at designated times prior to its use in competition.

SUP Length specification is 12’6”. A tolerance of 0.6" will be allowed over this measurement as this is not considered a significant performance benefit. This allowance has been made in this first year of our event to cater for existing craft that competitors may be using currently.

The ISA and Event Host strongly encourage all teams to research and coordinate necessary shipment of boards as soon as possible. Due to the restrictions with airlines, it is very likely that most boards will need to be cargo shipped well in advance of the event. Please look into options now!

For your assistance, the ISA suggests reviewing all details associated with airlines and costs such as:

http://www.surfline.com/travel/boardbag_charges.cfm?id=15425

Equipment shipped to Peru in advance of the Event may be sent to the Event Organizer:

GENERAL INFORMATION

Representation

TheISA will ONLY accept a valid passport from the country the athlete is representing as proof of nationality for participation in World Championship events. The only exception is for National Identification cards issued by the National Government of the team country that clearly shows "Nationality or Citizenship." Note: Such a card showing place of birth but not Nationality or Citizenship of the athlete, will not be accepted, as place of birth does not provide automatic citizenship in many countries.

Drug Testing

Drug Testing will follow the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines and will be conducted during the competition. A selected group of finalists plus three (3) random tests will be conducted. To check on the updated list of banned substances, go to the WADA website www.wada-ama.org.

If an athlete is required to take medication to treat an illness or condition which happens to fall under the Prohibited List, a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) may give that athlete the authorization to take the needed medicine. Please contact the ISA to submit all TUEs at least 30 days prior to the start of the competition.

Travel Insurance

The ISA strongly recommends that each team procures travel insurance (including, but not limited to accident, liability and medical) for all of their participants. We suggest that team insurance cover accidents or injuries sustained while in Peru, including those treated in Peru or in the country of their return upon leaving Peru.
