Playspot: Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, Neuss area, River Erft, Erft.

What's it like

Three playspots within half a kilometer.

Playspot nr 1: A nice wave just behind a bridge, good for wave-wheels, squirt turns, blasting and surfing.

Playspot nr 2: A hole spanning the whole river. Not too big, but with a small boat you can cartwheel, blunt and side surf.

Playspot nr 3: A wave on which you can surf, loop and pirouette. It is also very good for squirt turns.

What makes this river so interesting is not only that there's water the whole year but also the nice water temperature: always 5 degrees warmer than any other river in Belgium or Germany.

How to get there

On the A57, take the exit Neuss-Norf and follow the signs Neuss-Norf until you come to a T-crossing. Here you follow directions Neuss. After 1 minute you'll pass under a viaduct. Then you'll see a parking place on your left. (this map gives an idea of where it is in Germany)

You are now at Playspot nr 2. Nr 1 is 300 meters upstream. Nr 3 is 300 meters downstream.
