Dagger brings decades of experience and team-tested, paddler-proven heritage to freestyle kayaking in the all new Jitsu Series. Tested and approved by some of the world’s most skilled paddlers, the Jitsu excels in surfing and aerial moves in wave play with volume proportions that allow skill development in hole play as well.

The Jitsu's unique rocker profile, hull to rail relationship through the stern, carefully distributed centralized volume, and slicey tips make three dimensional combination moves in advancing hole play easier while creating a seamless blend of speed, looseness, and release on waves. The double-step carving rail above the release edge also helps the boat to grip and drive on wave faces for very controlled carving. The Jitsu maintains snappy edge-to-edge transition yet it is arguably the loosest hull on the market today.

Out-performing competitor freestyle kayaks downriver, the Jitsu is a solid all-around choice for those who want to enjoy big waves, holes on river, and freestyle competition too.

Its very easy to paddle and get used to, ive used in on weirs and holes, man made courses and natural rivers. Its fantastic for surfing and hole play and feels really well balanced. I learnt to cartwheel in this and it only took a couple of hours (id been trying in my old riot for months!)

dispite my size and weight, its actually quite a snug fit and doesnt feel like a constant uphill battle to move.

Although I just paddled the boat on waves at sea, to me, all the aspects Dagger mentions about this boat are confirmed.
It is fun to paddle and very easy to get used to. Because it is so balanced it is also a good playboat for a beginner, to my opinion.
I'm happy to be back in a Dagger playboat again!

About Me
Just tested the Jitsu wave-surfing at the North Sea coast.
I'm 1.90 m and 88 kg, so perfect for the Jitsu 6.0
First impressions:
Pros / The Good
The boat feels like my old (favorite) Kingpin, but then with all aspects of a modern playboat! It is fast on big waves and easy to get airborn with it. It moves quick, sharp and carves like hell. It is a very balanced boat. Big fun paddling it!!
The quality of the outfitting is very good, as always by Dagger.
Easy to adjust the boat to your own personal comforts.
Cons / The Bad
Coming from the JK Rockstar M, I needed some time to get used to more volume around me. With smaller waves I struggeled some to get speed out of it, but with big(ger) waves this boat comes alive and speed is no issue anymore!

Additional comment: Moving the seat a few inches to the front and sitting more in center of the boat had a (more) possitive effect on the performace of the Jitsu. Now the boat is also faster on smaller waves and spins more easy.
