Merrimack builds handcrafted, limited edition canoes unsurpassed in beauty, style and craftsmanship.

Kevlar hulls, ash and cherry gunwales, thwarts, decks and ribs.

Since 1954 we've built each Merrimack with more quality, style, and detail in construction than any other canoe on the market. You'll sense it in its beauty and you'll feel it on the water.

We do business differently at Merrimack. You will not find Merrimack canoes in any of the "Big Box" retail stores. We prefer to keep things personal, by selling our canoes directly to the people who will use them. That way, we can ensure that you receive not only a great canoe, but great service through the entire process, from your first inquiry, through the after sale follow-up.

For over 50 years we have been handcrafting some of the finest wood ribbed canoes around.

This tradition continues in the hands of Lem Beach and Randy Pew, son and grandson, respectively, of founder Lem H. Beach. Scott Hale, a fifteen year veteran, rounds out our team of seasoned craftsmen in Crossville. These three alone have over 100 years of combined experience building Merrimack Canoes!

We think you will agree that Merrimack canoes are the perfect combination of traditional design, superb wood working, and modern hull materials. These signed and numbered, wood reinforced, heirloom quality canoes will be enjoyed by your family for generations.
