What's it like
A commercial (though inexpensive) slalom area, next to the provincial village 'Sault-Brenaz',
with some really nice surfing waves and holes; mostly between class II and III+.
Relatively safe swimming, due to smooth, rounded rocks. A great camping place is right
next to the water. At HIGH water levels you may also find a beautiful surfing wave (30 meters wide) mixed with holes on the river Rhone, 200 meters after the slalom course.
The best time is April - September, but it is open year round (give them a call first
though if you want to go between October and March).
The next picture shows the first 'chute', where the local rodeo competitions are normally held. This hole is a little retentive, but not very deep. Mind your head and roll fast, as there is a big rock in the main flow 10 meters after the hole.

The second chute has the largest hole of the course. Less retentive, but deeper and faster then the first one. It is always pumping a little and it's not very easy to do controlled moves in:
