Palm Equipment Job Opening: Graphic Designer Featured

Post: An opportunity for a flexible, creative designer with abilities and experience across a range of media to work as part of a small dynamic marketing team. Creating material for a lifestyle orientated business, the successful candidate must be able to interpret project briefs, add creative flair and deliver on-time solutions in print and digital formats, combining B2B and B2C output. Reporting to the marketing manager and liaising with other department staff, including the MD, projects will include print layout and image manipulation for adverts, catalogues and some POS. Digital duties will include web site up-dates, e-shots, banner ad creative and social media expansion and updates. Specific requirements: • Fully conversant in Adobe CS applications inc. In-design, Photoshop and Illustrator • Proficient in HTML and CSS updating using Dreamweaver • Experience with CMS operation including Wordpress • Ability to create front end visuals and banner ads for websites • Able to work with MS Office suite applications. • Strong layout skills and eye for detail • Ability to juggle different tasks at the same time • Creative and proactive approach to idea generation Desirable: • Mac and PC literate • Basic video editing skills • SEO experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Comfortable with stand alone working • Experience of dealing with external groups e.g. printers, media, external web sites. • Understanding of marketing principles or experience of working in a marketing environment • Interest in subject matter Background: Palm Equipment are leading manufacturer of canoes, kayaks and premium apparel, based in Clevedon, Somerset.
